Our club participates in community service programs established by our Federation.
Operation Cuddly Comfort
It has been shown that baby dolls are effective in decreasing stress and agitation in Alzheimer's patients. Doll therapy can put responsibility, caring, and structure back into the live of those afflicted with dementia. Our club dresses lifelike baby dolls and donates them to local nursing and care homes, free of charge. This program is supported through donations and fundraising
NJSFWC Special State Project
CASA of NJ provides a voice for abused and neglected children by empowering a statewide network of local CASA programs serving all 21 counties of NJ. Dedicated community volunteers advocate in Family Court for the best interests of children in foster care. We provide backpacks and other items for the children of CASA, and support their Annual Holiday Party
Operation Yellow Ribbon
is a New Jersey non-profit consisting of all volunteers.
A major focus is organizing donated supplies and goodies to send to our brave military men and women. Our club fills Christmas stockings each year with items useful to soldiers deployed overseas. We also write personal notes to express appreciation for their service.
Girls' Career Institute
is a NJSFWC program which offers a "mini college experience" at Douglass College of Rutgers University. Delegates experience a sample of college life by living in a dorm, eating in a cafeteria, and attending lectures and workshops. They learn about career choices from volunteer professional speakers. Our club sponsors several high school junior to attend each year.
